The renowned publisher has secured a seasoned producer from the creators of Apex Legends to lead the studio crew at their internal studio, which is currently working on the anticipated over-the-shoulder action-packed title known as Project Ethos.
Management Shift Comes After Lukewarm Response
Brinkman assumes the leadership position at the development studio following the dismissal of previous head the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was reportedly let go due to the game's lackluster initial reveal last autumn.
Recently, 2K president a key figure updated staff about this strategic move through an internal memo, which emphasized that early feedback sessions had revealed the need for a clearer direction.
The president stated that the developers is now reimagining Project Ethos with a refreshed approach, aiming to satisfy player expectations.
Trend of Strategic Recruitment
The news mirrors a similar step taken by the publisher in the summer, when they hired an industry veteran from Blizzard to work on the beloved franchise development group.
